Happy Turkey Day!

It's Magical!

This weekend I was chatting with my cousin who has two adorable little boys. She was telling me that her oldest, who is four, sat and talked about the Christmas tree for hours the other night after they put it up. I love it! Truly, Christmas is magical; first of all, in the fact that it is the time we celebrate as Jesus' birthday. It doesn't get more magical than that. Secondly, it is just a fun time, filled with laughter and joy and celebration! The lights, the music, the cooler (and sometimes snowy) weather, the family time...it is all so magical! There's just something about it. Truthfully, I feel the same way this little guy did - I could sit and stare at the tree for hours, just enjoying the season. I am glad I still realize that magic - hopefully I ALWAYS will. Still a child at heart - can I get an Amen?!? As soon as I get my tree up, I plan to post pics - PLAN. :)

Just a little advertisment...

My husband is an excellent graphic designer! (It's true...I'm not just speaking as his adoring wife.) He started a side business - Cutting Edge Advertising -  here at home with one of our close friends a few years ago. I really love the verse I used for my latest title. I guess this blog is going to be a sort of "outlet" for me from time to time. Nothing super personal or anything, but just a free write to let me blow off steam or just praise the Lord for something He's done in my life. Today, is a praise the Lord day! Granted, every day should be that way. So often, though, I fail to recognize God's goodness on days when maybe don't feel as close to Him or don't understand a particular situation I'm going through. Lately, I have been praying about something specific. I just really needed peace - you know...the kind that only the Lord can give. And He bombarded me with it this morning! I mean, absolutely, positively, completely BOMBARDED me with it. I am so thankful!
"Thank you, Lord, for blessing me today with your unsurpassed peace..."

Getting Started

Well, obviously, I've decided to start a blog...and I am pretty psyched about it! I've always thought it would be a fun thing to do, so it's time to give it a try. I titled the blog "It's an Adventure" because Josh and I tend to use that phrase any time we do ANYTHING really...and it's true! Our life together is an adventure - one that I am loving to the max! I am going to try to post as often as possible, but we will see how that goes, as life is absolutely adventure-filled right now with home, work, church, family, friends, etc. Hopefully at least one post a week, but maybe more. For now, I must get back to work! Talk to you soon...
